IHPN “Working together to deliver the NHS Long Term Plan” report
Connect Health is delighted to support The Independent Healthcare Providers Network (IHPN) in the launch of their new report, “Working together to deliver the NHS Long Term Plan”, demonstrating how the independent sector is already helping to deliver the healthcare priorities outlined in the NHS plan. The Long-Term Plan promised to “increase the focus on NHS organisations working with their local partners” to plan and deliver services that meet local needs. This report, launched at Confed19 in Manchester, shows this commitment in action and the breadth and depth of NHS/independent sector partnerships across a range of areas including:
- boosting ‘out-of-hospital’ care and dissolving the historic divide between primary and community health service
- reducing pressure on emergency hospital services
- helping digitally-enabled primary and outpatient care to go mainstream across the NHS
- improving care for cancer and MSK conditions
- ensuring shorter waits for planned surgery
Launching the report, David Hare, Chief Executive of the Independent Healthcare Providers Network, said:
