Applications are now closed for the next intake of our Graduate Development Programme, commencing in September 2024. This is a streamlined, structured development programme, combining theory with practice-based learning. You will receive mentoring from your clinical buddy from day 1, being a partner in patient interactions, whilst developing your knowledge through structured workshops delivered by our clinical experts and leaders. The programme is designed to accelerate recently qualified clinicians on a fast track to a senior position, in as little as 18 months, ensuring you’ve got all the tools and skills you need to succeed. This isn’t just more education; this is a full-time job with protected professional development time to grow your skills and secure a solid start in your musculoskeletal career.
We conducted two Graduate webinars to talk all things Connect Health, Graduate Development Programme and what you can expect during the recruitment process!
These online webinars introduced Connect Health and the Graduate Development Programme (GDP), provided FREE CPD (certificate available upon request), and included a Q&A with our panel of GDP experts.

The programme is an 18-month long development pathway, that provides you with 10% protected CPD time. You will attend a monthly face to face study day with an experienced Clinician, providing you with their expertise, skills and knowledge and sharing insights into the various topic/modules covered across the course. To compliment the face to face, there is also virtual learning available via our Academy learning platform, as well as mentoring, and coaching from your line manager. This is in addition to the usual professional development, audit and supervision that all of our clinicians benefit from.
This is a full-time permanent job. The programme is designed for newly qualified Physiotherapists, Sports Therapists and Osteopaths, that have completed a degree level qualification (or higher) that allows them to register with one of the following professional bodies or regulators (Physiotherapist – HCPC; Sports Therapist – SST, STA, BASRAT; Osteopath – GoC)
The job is a full-time permanent post at 37.5 hours per week, the 10% CPD time is protected within these working hours. 10% CPD protected time means that your diary will be blocked, away from clinic, to allow you to immerse yourself in professional development.
Upon successful completion of the programme and upon passing the assessment/exam at the end of the programme, you will be promoted to a Senior MSK Clinician and receive the appropriate salary uplift, currently set as minimum £31,000.
There are exams at the end of the development programme that are required as part of the assessment process for completion. This exam is both practical, and theory based covering all of the topics that you would have spent the last 18-months covering.
The programme may be delivered through a combination of face to face workshop, self-directed study, clinical practice, audit and supervision
As part of the programme, you will receive Clinical Supervision, regular one to one support and in practice “buddy” mentorship from day one. All of our clinicians are regularly supervised to support their individual development, relevant to their professional development plan. This supervision may be 1:1 or group, face to face or remote, peer or with a named supervisor.
