Join us for the launch of new national guidance to improve the effectiveness of MSK services in the NHS.
Musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions now affect 1 in 4 of the adult population. They are the biggest cause of the growing burden of disability in the UK, and cost the NHS £5 billion each year.
The Good Governance Institute is a leading research and consultancy organisation working in healthcare, higher education, and the third sector. We publish regularly in order to share knowledge and expertise, and to highlight issues which are pertinent to the organisations we work with. One such issue is the prevention and management of MSK conditions. We have partnered with Connect Health, the largest specialist provider of MSK services in the UK, to develop guidance to help NHS providers and commissioners optimise the treatment and prevention of MSK conditions locally.
The guidance will be published on 2nd April 2019 and we will be marking this occasion with a special event in London:
Tuesday 2nd April, 5.30pm – 8pm at Mary Ward House (5-7 Tavistock Place, Kings Cross, London WC1H 9SN)
Attendees will hear from a variety of experts, and will have the opportunity to examine and debate key issues relating to the provision of MSK services.
